The New Vintage

Post event blues...we have to wait 4 weeks till the next one!

A fun afternoon was had by all at The New Vintage’s first event at the Living Bar on Brixton’s Coldharbour Lane. On sale were some of the finest vintage inspired wares from over twenty of London’s best artists and designer makers.

The New Vintage wasn’t all about retail therapy; Clapham’s Swing Patrol gave several dazzling performances to woo the crowds! Skinny Jim from Islington’s Club de Fromage played tunes throughout the day providing a soundtrack to the cocktail drinking, sweet eating and the recession beating book swap.

We also did our bit for charity raising awareness and funds for the mens health and prostate cancer charity Movember. Through the moustache emporium and raffling of the generous donations from artists and local businesses such as Ms Cupcake and Coffee Federation we managed to raise over a £120!

The next event on Saturday 10th December is set to be an equally grand affair with a number of new artists involved, this time raising money for shelter. Mulled wine will get you in the mood for more book swapping, sweet eating and one off Christmas shopping so come on down!
